Ride with Confidence: Protect Yourself with Motorcycle Insurance

Before we get into the insurance aspect, here are some stats from a study conducted by the University of Toronto that show the difference between car accidents and motorcycles.

Motorcycles:

  • Cause 3 times as many injuries
  • Are 10 times more severe
  • Cause medical bills that are 6 times more expensive
  • Cause 5 times as many fatalities

Motorcycle insurance is important because it protects you financially in case of an accident or other unexpected events. In the event of an accident, it can cover damages to other parties, medical expenses for you and your passengers, and damage to your own motorcycle. Without insurance, you could be responsible for paying for these expenses out of pocket, which can be very costly. Additionally, in Canada, it is mandatory to have motorcycle insurance in order to legally ride on public roads.
